Bright & beautiful Reversible pure Silk Shawl with ‘kantha’ stitching. This scarf is made from two contrasting coloured vintage silk saris, hand-sewn together using ‘kantha’ running stitch. Each is a one-off.
This Shawl is beautifully detailed with a circular 'kantha' stitch.
‘Kantha’ stitch is Traditional to West Bengal, and this embroidery technique, passed down from generation to generation, enables the Women in rural villages to supplement their families incomes.
